Matthew Herrick has been teaching private voice for over 10 years, with a strong emphasis on the singing actor, and the essential connection between the body and the voice. Matthew received his MFA in Acting from The University of Texas at Austin, and a BFA in Musical Theatre from Brigham Young University, with an emphasis in Vocal Pedagogy.

Matthew has taught voice, speech, and acting at:

  •    Studios throughout NYC and the country

Matthew has also worked as a music director for theatres, choirs, and studios in NYC, the intermountain west, and Texas.  As an actor/singer, Matthew currently maintains a vibrant career in New York City with experience Off-Broadway, cabaret, national commercials, soap-operas, and concert appearances from Carnegie Hall to local churches. He is a proud husband, and a father to three beautiful children.
Matthew believes in the integration of the whole body as part of opening up the true and natural voice of the singer and actor. Through weekly/bi-monthly lessons, students are taught how to marry the world of the singer and the actor through extensive vocal exercises, song application and development, dramatic coaching, audition preparation, and vocal health instruction.
